Set in the late 19th century, this series is about the life of a young girl named Anne Shirley-Cuthbert. Anne is an orphaned girl who lives with a family that has recently adopted her. She has a new life now but the same problem of getting bullied etc. Annie tries to fight her problems and steer through the rough waters of early teenage. It is a coming of age story but not like any other typical teenage storyline. The series is unique in its own ways.
