Twelve extraterritorial space crafts silently position themselves around different parts of the world and no one can decipher their motive for arrival. Linguist Louise Banks is called upon to decode the language of the heptapods and the revelation at the end will change everything for her. This sci-fi thriller is unlike the other movies where aliens are bad and gruesome creatures but this movie is a perfect example of a genre done right.
