An ageing Chinese woman misses her son dearly who lives far away from her. She is lonely and sadly most of the time. One fine day the old man prepares dumplings and magically a dumpling turns into a living being. This way the old woman gets a second chance at motherhood and loneliness is long gone with her spending most of her time with the naughty little dumpling.
