The movie follows Peter Quill, better known as Star-Lord, who steals an orb containing the Power Stone, one of the six infinity stones. But a space tyrant, Ronan The Accuser, a Kree warrior is hunting for the power stone as well. He finds that Peter Quill has the stone, and pursues him. To stop Ronan from acquiring the stone, Quill forms a team of eccentric but loyal superheroes, who save the galaxy from destruction.
