Harper plans to propose to her girlfriend Abby while they're at her house for Christmas. Right before they reach Abby’s house, Abby spills out the fact that she hasn’t come out to her parents, forcing Harper to pretend to be her (orphaned) roommate during her stay there. The movie then follows Harper trying to impress Abby's family while struggling to not accidentally slip out their secret. Also, Dan Levy has nailed his role as Harper’s best friend, making the movie worth the watch.
