A kind-hearted but clumsy postal man Jesper is sent to a frozen island near the Arctic Circle. While encountering harsh weather and unfriendly locals who do not exchange letters, he has a hard time adjusting to the new place. His encounter with a teacher Alva with whom he falls in love makes things better and unknown to him Santa is just around the corner. The feel-good film is heart-warming and is also unlike the mundane Christmas movies.
