Narappa is loosely based on some true events involving caste-related oppression. Narappa, who is played by Venkatesh Daggubati, is an old farmer. He is an alcoholic and has an indifferent attitude. While his two sons are hot-headed and they try to fight the evil people who are trying to take away their lands. Panduswami wants to hoard their land to build a cement factory.
