Sang Mi’s family moved to a remote area after her father’s business failed, unable to afford to live in Seoul. At the new school that they join, her twin brother is bullied a lot as a result of which he decides to take away his life. This tears the family apart, her mom starts to lose her senses and her father starts taking refuge in a church. They soon decide to live at this religious institution, which turns out to be a cult with no way of getting out from it.
