The movie is an anthology of three different women belonging to three different time periods (the 1980s, 1990s, and 00s). Each of the stories shows the changes with time, namely through their clothing and surroundings, but the central conflict of the lives of these three women remains the same; marriage. The movie shows how this sacred social institution has managed to enslave these women and how the not-so-subtle patriarchal norms continue to parasitically live on.
