It is based on the comic book 'Sweet tooth' written by Jeff Lemire. A virus outbreak leads to a massive wipeout of the current species in the world. As a result of the outbreak, hybrids are born everywhere with half human and half animal features. The leftover humans fear these new hybrid species. A small boy named Gus who's half deer and half-human sets out on an adventurous journey to find more about the new world.
