Set in the ’80s and ’90s, Big Bull focuses on the character of Hemant Shah played by Abhishek Bachan. A stockbroker, Hemant comes from a very small family and lives in a chawl but reaches the big heights in Bombay's Dalal Street. Hemant's life changes after a financial scam are brought to the public's notice, the infamous 1992 Financial Scam. The character of Hemant Shah is inspired by the 90's Stockbroker Harshad Mehta who ruled Dalal Street in his prime.
