Three stories of three women in three different time zones are intertwined, in 1925, Virginia Woolf is writing her classic novel Mrs Dalloway along with battling depression. In 1950, a housewife is desperate to get away from her mundane life and in the present, it follows a woman who, like Mrs Dalloway, is preparing a party for her friend. This movie is an excellent insight into the lives of women who long for freedom and self-expression but are constrained by society.
