‘2 Broke Girls’ is an American television sitcom that depicts the lives of two girls, Max and Caroline who work as waitresses at one of Brooklyn’s diners. Max is used to this lifestyle but Caroline, a Wharton graduate who lost all her money because of her father’s fraudulent practices, is determined to set up her own cupcake business along with Max. However, they come across some hilarious situations while trying to gather money to establish their business.

This Indian web television series captures the experiences of four girls who live together in a hostel meant for dental students. It portrays an amalgamation of friendship, rivalry and teenage romance. The medical students look down about the dental batch which leads to a tiff between the two groups and they ultimately come face to face during a fashion show.

3. Mind the Malhotras

The show revolves around the Malhotra family while the couple, Shefali and Rishabh Malhotra deal with their own marital problems along with managing their children. They seek professional help to resolve the issues they are facing in their marriage as they do not want to head for a divorce like most of their friends. These therapy sessions that Shefali and Rishabh attend lead to a comical plot involving the Malhotras and the show can be recommended as a one-time watch.

4. New Girl

After Jess, a quirky school teacher finds out that her boyfriends are cheating on her, she moves into an apartment with three men, Nick, Winston and Schmidt. Her place is frequented by her best friend, Cece and the show primarily focuses on the group’s interactions with one another, as well as the romantic relationships that they get involved in. It portrayed realistic characters and was received favourably by the critics.

She manages to land a job at a trendy fashion magazine, Mode where she meets Daniel, the newly appointed editor-in-chief of the magazine. Betty struggles to keep up with her job, however, Daniel and Betty gradually become friends and assist each other in navigating their way through this situation.
