How about diving into some old school drama for the weekend? This one’s dedicated to the late 90s and early 2000s kids whose lives revolved around Sanju’s magic pencil and Frooti’s doting Sonpari, not to forget Hannah Montana’s walk-in wardrobe. The good old days do go by rapidly but certain things are always etched in your memory and there’s definitely no better time than this pandemic to relive those childhood moments that are certainly remembered with a smile. 

 

1. Hannah Montana

Miley Stewart’s life that looks quite ordinary to the world has another facet to it. No one is aware that Miley is actually the pop star Hannah Montana. She tried to conceal this identity for as long as she can, only revealing it to some of the close ones in her life. This show revolves around Miley, her best friends Oliver and Lily, her brother and father while focusing primarily on her daily teenage life.

A young girl Fruity by virtue of her kind deeds is given a gift in the form of a fairy called Sonpari and her friend Altu. They are always looking out for Fruity who lost her mother and they also save Fruity from Ruby, a woman who is trying to woo Fruity’s dad for his money. Later, Sonpari finds that Fruity is going to get into trouble because of Kali Pari, the villain but Sonpari stands by Fruity while they fight Kali Pari together.

This Indian television serial revolves around Sanju, the protagonist and his experiences with the magic pencil. This magic pencil has the distinct ability to bring anything Sanju draws to life, sometimes creating problems for Sanju as well. This show became extremely popular among children in the early 2000s. The magic pencil created a buzz in the audience and led to this show’s success.

‘Karishma Ka Karishma’ is a remake of the 1980s American TV show Small Wonder. The story encompasses Vikram, a scientist who creates a robot Karishma that looks exactly like a human being. Their neighbours, however, suspect some foul play but Karishma always manages to get away with it.
