This tale is about 4 women who are gifted with immortality and possess the ability to heal themselves. They have used their abilities for ages to safeguard the human race. However, all this changes when they learn of new superhumans that possess immortality who are out to get them. Based on the Image Comics series of the same name, the film is a must-watch if you are a fan of the fantasy genre.

The emotional film is about a pregnant mother with terminal cancer. Upon learning about her terminal illness, the mother decides to leave behind 18 presents for her child to remember her by. This story is based on the life of Elisa Girotto who suffered from terminal breast cancer and eventually succumbed to the disease. The touching film is brilliantly acted and is a must-watch.
5. Chemical Hearts
Henry Page’s has never experienced the feeling of falling head over heels for someone. Though considering himself to be a romantic person, he longs for his one true love which will change his life. Little does he know that love is around the corner when a new transfer student arrives on the first day of senior year. They develop a close bond but this is threatened by a looming secret which could tear them apart.

The story revolves around two fractured souls who are trying to get by each day and fight their inner demons. Violet is still recovering from the death of her sister when she meets Theodore who shows her the true meaning of life and helps her on her journey of healing. Elle and Justice breathe life into this amazing film about the healing power of true love.
9. The Half Of It
With a touching tale of the struggles of high school in today’s American society, the story revolves around a timid and quirky sophomore trying to find her way. The movie highlights many issues such as the ambiguity around homosexuality, racism and bullying. This sophomore film takes an age-old young adult trope and gives it a heart-touching LGBTQ+ twist.
