Travis Bickle is a night shift taxi driver in New York City who was previously a Vietnam War veteran and is coping with insomnia. He drives around the city and is quite observant of his surroundings and one day has a chanced encounter with an underage prostitute with whom he strikes up a friendship. After getting his heart broken by Betsy, a campaign volunteer he decides to assassinate the presidential candidate and kill a pimp. This movie is a classic but might not be everyone’s cup of tea, though it still worth a watch just once.
